Sleep Over!!

SmileyCentral.com

Thursday we had vault, beam, and bars. On vault SmileyCentral.com we set up a drill thing. We put the rezi behind the vault and then added a cheese mat. We did drills for tsuk like standing on the cheese after you finished. Then on beam SmileyCentral.com we did routines. I actually stuck a routine!! :) Only one though, the others I fell on. Then we had bars. On bars SmileyCentral.com we did kip cast free-hip and kip cast turns. Sergei wasn't in a very good mood SmileyCentral.com . On Friday I practiced with team one again. We did floor and beam . On floor SmileyCentral.com we warmed up our tumbling and did routines. I did pretty good. The people on the team only counted four mistakes. Then on beam SmileyCentral.com I worked on round-off double back into the pit. It's getting better but I keep landing on my face. I also did two back handsprings. I stuck five out of five. SmileyCentral.com Then came Saturday. We did vault, bars, and dance. On vault I did tsuk pike with a real mat down. I stuck it. On bars we worked on high bar which is kip cast to handstand, two giants and dismount. Sergei said I wasn't doing them right. I also worked on free-hip. Dance SmileyCentral.com we did our regular stuff. That night my friend Sam SmileyCentral.com (from the gym) came shopping with us and helped me pick out my Halloween SmileyCentral.com costume. She slept over and I had a really great SmileyCentral.com time, tootles!!

Candy!!!

Monday we did the same old thing and did beam and floor. On beam all I got to do was routines because Mrs. Tamara wanted us to stick three routines. I only stuck two by the time beam was over. I kept falling on either back walkover back tuck or front handspring. Then we went to floor. We armed up our tumbling passes (round-off back whip back tuck, front handspring front layout, and round-off back handspring one and a half). We did routines and I was second. I did pretty good but Sergei was upset with some of the people on our team so we got a talk. Then on Tuesday (today) we did bars and vault. On bars Sergei spotted us for kip cast to handstand and then we did cast turns. We then went to vault with Mrs. Tamara. I did tsuk and she made us put another eight inch mat on top of the first one. She said if I landed two that I would get candy. I did and so then I got smarties. Then we did conditioning, run, and then we went home.

Boo!

On Friday I practiced with team one. I had a great time. We did tumbling and beam. Floor we did the same old things. We warmed up the tumbling passes in our routine. Mine are whip back tuck, Front handspring front full, and round-off back whip back tuck. Then we did routines. I did ok. I stuck all of my passes. then on beam I worked on round-off double back into the pit from the beam.
The reason I practiced with team one is because I wanted to go to teen skating with my friends. We skated and we danced to a whole bunch of songs.
Then on Saturday some of team one practiced with us. This is because one of our gymnasts is almost elite so she went to the clinic. Sergei wasn't there so the coaches asked compulsory to practice together and optional to practice together. So we did tumbling first. We did the same thing. We warmed up our tumbling passes and did our routines. Then we went to vault. On here I did a couple front handsprings. Then I started the tsuk. I did tsuk pike and thats about it. Then we did a half an hour of tumble track and a half an hour of beam. On tumble track I worked on front handspring front full because its still not perfected. Then on beam I worked on round-off double back again into the pit.
That night me and my friends went to The Bates Motel.
It was really scary. We went through The Bates Motel first. A lot of people popped up and once I fell, LOL.Then we went through the corn maze. It wasn't really a maze because they led you through the way. Things popped up in this one too. At the very end of the maze Jason came out with a chain saw. The chain saw hit the back of my leg but it didn't have the chain on it. Still I screamed and ran for my life out of that corn maze. Last was the hayride. We waited for two hours but I think it was worth the wait. We rode through and again things popped up. We went through little scenes like one was a chop shop.
There were body parts and one of the people had a chain saw. It really scared me.

One scene was a gas station and the gas station lit on fire.
My favorite though was when somebody jumped out of a grave. I had a really good time.

HeHe!!

Well, this blog is for Tuesday and today. Tuesday we had bars and vault. On bars we started routines. I did one and fell on the rest of them. You see, I have this little problem with routines and it takes me a little while to do them. That's all we did for bars. On vault I did some front handsprings, then I started tsuk pike. They were pretty good and I was landing on my feet a lot. Today we had vault, beam, and bars. On vault I had a pretty slow run. I just wasn't into vaulting today. I did front handsprings and then tsuk pikes. I also stuck almost all of the ones I tried to land. Then on beam we did routines. We had to go on both new and new new. Those are the names our team made up for the main beams. I don't like new very much because with my beam shoes I slide alot. So on one beam I would do my back walkover back tuck connection and on new I wouldn't. I only stuck one back walkover back tuck on high beam. Then we went to bars. We did routines again. I think I'm getting over my fear because I did two routines and even though my legs were a little bent, I still did it and didn't cry! Then we did conditioning and went home.

Hi!!

Hey, on Saturday we had vault, bars, and dance. On vault, Sergei had me do that pike thing again, and it didn't really work out. I kept landing on my butt. On bars, we did the usual. We started out with free-hips. Some of mine were to handstand but still weren't that good. Then I did cast turns. It was kind of like a drill because after we turned, we were supposed to land on the big block that was right behind it. I did pretty good on them. Then in dance we did the regular stuff that I don't know the names of but oh well. I know that we did floor routines without tumbling though. Mrs. Tamara judged us on our presentation. Instead of doing number judging, I got graded a "B". On Monday (today) we had beam and floor. We did stations today. I started out doing back handspring jump up. Then I went to do back handspring back tuck, I only stuck one out of many, then I did four routines. I fell on back walkover back tuck on every one and I fell on back handspring once, then I worked on side ariel. On floor I did front layouts, back whips and fulls. We did routines and I thought I did pretty good. Then we conditioned and went home.

Friday

Today I had a private plus regular practice. In my private I was working on straddle giants on regular bars. I did really good on them. Then we went to tumbling. I did back whip back tuck/layout/full. The tucks and layouts were pretty good except the fulls were pretty bad. That's all I did in my private. Then was regular practice. Only four girls showed up on our team and two are injured . We had beam and floor. On beam I did five routines, stuck one. Mrs. Tamara judged me and she said I got 8.8 with a fall. Do the math it would be 9.3 without a fall. Then I worked on back handspring back tuck with a pad. I didn't do very well on them because my back handsprings are pretty bad. Then we had floor, only me and another girl, Sam, were there because the other two were injured. We did front handspring front layouts. They were good. Then we did back whip back tucks. I was good on them because I have already done back whip back full on floor. Then we conditioned and went home!!

Thursday

Tonight was a four hour night. We had vault, beam and bars. On vault I was doing tsuk pike, I don't know why though. I had a pretty good night on vault. Then we went to beam, I worked on my connections and did three routines. One of them I stuck but the other two I fell on back walkover back tuck. I stuck three back walkovers the whole night. Then we went to bars. We started on giants and on every single one, I hit my feet. Sergei sent me to staps because he thinks its time for me to learn straddle giants. I actually had a hard time with them. That's what I did for the rest of bars. Something funny to give you a good laugh is that yesterday I fell off a chair. I was standing on it and it started tipping and then I fell. I hurt my wrist so today in practice I had to wear wrist supports (if I was allowed). Well hope ya have a good night, bye!!

Tuesday!!

Tonight we had bars and vault. On bars Sergei had me do kip cast to handstand, two giants and dismount on regular bars. After I did that, I pretty much worked on kip cast free-hip to handstand. Every time I tried to connect it all together, I didn't do free-hip to handstand. When I did free-hip alone though, I would do it all the way up. Then we had vault with Mrs. Tamara. I did a couple front handsprings and then started to tsuk. I did tsuk layout and stuck it so Mrs. Tamara said that I would compete that. I'm so happy that I can finally do something on the vault that I can compete with. We left at 8:30 so I only got about forty-five minutes on vault. So I conditioned for about ten minutes and went home.

Monday

Sorry that I keep missing days, it's just really hard for me to get a hang of it. Well on Saturday we had Vault, Bars and dance. On vault I didn't get to flip again because we had put the drill thing there again. The drill thing is that we get the rezi and out that behind the vault. Then we get a cheese or sometimes just another eight inch mat and we vault onto that. I did pretty well on that. Then we had bars. I did kip cast free-hip and also kip cast turn. Sergei wanted us to start working on our routines so I did giant dismount on the regular bars. Then we went to dance. I don't really know any of the names but I know that we did dance... lol. I'm not the best in dance so I really don't know what they are talking about. Many thanks to all that purchased wreaths for my fundraising! Also, thanks to Misty & Marc for a Web Donation!

Thursday & Friday (sorry I missed yesterday!)

Hey guys sorry that I didn't post last night. I was kind of busy. Well anyway, last night we had vault, beam, and bars. Vault was ok, but I didn't get to flip because we were doing this drill thing. On beam I was still working with my back walkover back tuck which is still pretty bad. In my routine I didn't stick and of my connections. Then on bars I did kip cast free-hip to handstand again. That was pretty good, I guess I got better. Then I did kip cast turn which was also pretty good. Then I went to pit bar and did a couple pak's into the pit. The next day (which is today) we had beam and floor. On beam I had the same problem, I didn't stick any of my connections in my routines. After I did three routines, Mrs. Tamara had me work on two back handsprings. I had the mat that makes the beam wider so it wasn't that hard. Then we had floor. I started out with front layout. They were good so Sergei told me to try front handspring front layout front tuck, so I did. I stuck the two that I tried and then I went to front full. I didn't do very well on them. Next I did back whips. I only did a couple of them and then started back layout. I did two of those and fulls. Then I went to one and a half. They were prett y good. Time for routines on floor! I was third. My tumbling passes were 1) round-off back handspring one and a half 2) front layout and 3) round-off back handspring back full. My routine was pretty good except for the part when I did one and a half. The only problem was that I didn't know what to do because I usually land the other way, so I just turned around. Everybody thought that was funny. In conditioning we had a competition (our team won!!). Well that's pretty much it, Bye!

Wednesday

Tonight I didn't have gymnastics. Instead, when I got home, I went on the computer. Then my mom and I walked around the corner asking for people to buy wreaths. It's a fundraiser for my gym. A couple people donated and then we went home. We took a trip to my moms friend's house to ask her. Of course she donated. That's pretty much my day when I have gym off.

Tuesday

Today I also had gym from 6-9. We did warm-up as usual and started on bars. Sergei had us do kip cast free hip. I noticed that it wasn't very good so that's going to be added to the "need to work on list." Then after doing a few of them, we went to pit bar where we did dismounts. I wanted to put a mat in the pit but one of my teammates had injured her foot and was doing bars so we couldn't. I did lots of double backs and they were pretty good. He said they were good except I need more control. We then went to vault. I did front handsprings for warm up, then I started tsuk. I landed about four on the mat but the others weren't that good. Maybe I'll do better next time. Then we conditioned and went home. Another donation!!! One of my bestfriend's dad donated money to me. Thank you Mr. Bayalis!

October 1, 2007

Well today I had practice from 6-9. We started our warm-up and did everything from simple jumps to casts on the bars. Then we started beam so I put on my beam shoes (new accessory) and went over. Our coach, Mrs. Tamara, went to a thing called congress on Friday and Saturday so she was telling us about it. She was showing us the proper forms and dance for the beam. We did our walks and she started us on our connections. Since my connection is back walkover back tuck that's what I did. I did a couple and on one, I was landing my back tuck but one of my feet missed the beam. I fell but I was ok. Then I did it again, this time I landed sideways and kind of hurt my ankle, but it wasn't major. Then we went on to floor. I did lots of front layouts and then our coach, Sergei, told us to do back tumbling. I did two back layouts, two back fulls, then I started working on one and a half. I landed most of them and did pretty good on them. Then we conditioned and went home. ALSO, today my mom sent my website to all of my teachers. They all said something positive to me. When I got home my mom was checking her e-mail. One of my teachers, Mrs. Carlson, had donated money to help our family financially in my gymnastics. I'm so grateful. Well that was pretty much my day. Have a good one!!
