Ohnoes.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, as usual.
The thing is that I got injured so I haven't been competing.
I had a bilateral stress fracture in my lower back. I was out for a little but I recently went to the doctors and they said that one side of my back may not heal (we'll see)!
They said I can go back though, so I've been doing physical therapy and going back slowly.
I have a back brace to ensure that I'm keeping my back straight and tight.
When I do go back fully though, I don't think my routines are going to be as hard as they used to be.
I'll try my hardest and condition a lot to try to get my routines as hard as they can be.
I'll post another time soon.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL
WHO WILL COMPETE AT THE
BARB KNOTHE MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
JAN 9-11, 2009

*******************************************

The story of Barb Knothe.....

Barb Knothe was very involved in the sport of gymnastics, first as a coach and then as a judge. She coached and taught in western PA until 1980 at which time she moved to Philadelphia and worked as a Physical Therapist at St. Agnes and Temple Hospitals and become more actively involved in judging.

Barb passed away very unexpectedly in March 2001. She was known for her light-hearted approach to life and the sport, her commitment to making every competitor proud of her accomplishments either through her words or her patented smile. She was a consumate "prankster" and loved to make people laugh.

Shortly after her passing, a memorial scholarship fund was established in her honor and a $500 stipend is awarded to a graduating senior in Barb's name. Additionally, the establishment of an annual meet in her memoriam, hosted annually by the KMC parents organization helps to fund the scholarship and to share Barb's approach to gymnastics with high caliber athletes from the tri-state area.
