NEW ELEMENTS

On vault I've been learning front handspring front tuck and I'm getting better at doing it! On bars I have a new routine...it's kip cast turn kip squat-on, then on high bar...it's kip cast to handstand free-hip to handstand 2 giants then layout dismount. I have also been learning toe-on toe-off on bars. On floor...I'm doing a new element in my routine...it's front handspring front full.

Christmas City Classic

I have to say that I am really of myself. I did really good this meet. It was in a small gym in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The meet was actually held at a school. The KMC level eight team started on floor, I was last. I did every tumbling pass with my legs together and they were pretty nice. My score was a 9.4.
Next was bars, this is the one event that I didn't do too well on. I got an 8.3 because of a lot of things. I stopped at my cast turn and bend my arms on my giants and I'm pretty sure that I bent my legs too.
We went to beam next, on my warm up I didn't stick any of my connections. But on my meet I did a solid 9.425 routine.
Our last event was vault, the landings were kind of hard because they didn't have an extra mat to land on. I stuck my warm ups and my competition vaults and got a 9.3.
The good thing is that Mrs. Tamara said that if I get a 9.2 or higher, I can start learning front handspring front tuck!! YAY... Oh yeah, and if you add up all those scores, my all around turned out to be 36.525.....

w00t!

Ok well I'd like to thank
ZWANI.com - The place for myspace comments, glitters, graphics, backgrounds and codes
my Aunt Jo and her husband to be for donating to my webpage!!!!

Well on beam we did ten routines and I stuck four.. tee hee!! But when Tamara judged me I got a 9.45! yay! I was so happy after the crappy beam that I had. The downfall of today was that my back is hurting bad. Yes, it still hurts. It kept stopping me from doing good on floor. By the end of practice I thought I was going to die, it hurt really bad. But... I don't know......

Yurchenko Meet

Well one thing that I can say is that I did horrible. My all around was a 34.425 or something like that. We started on Bars. In my low bar I kept hitting my feet on the ground after cast turn as usual. Then on high bar I just couldn't get a hang of it and kept hitting my feet. So in my meet I hit my feet after cast turn and bent my legs... A LOT!! I ended up getting a 8.275. Then the rotation took us to beam. As we were warming up, I only stuck about one or two of my connections. Also, while I was trying to do my mount, my foot slipped and I hit my knee on the beam. It hurt really bad. In the meet I fell on my connection (back walkover back tuck) and also on my switch leg leap. My score was horrible with an 8.3. Next was one of my best events, floor. I did real good. No major mess ups took place. Just a little of the usual ones like bent legs, unpointed toes. My score was 9.2. Last was vault. In warm up I only stuck one or two of them, I was nervous. I wasn't exactly sure what I was planning on doing. The first one I did tsuk tuck. I fell on my butt so Sergei told me to do tsuk pike. I did it and stuck it but the score was still pretty bad with a 8.65. Well I guess you could consider this as a good thing. Its my first 34 ever! And I just checked, I came in 19th place, go me!! OOPS...I just checked again 12/18/07 and I came in 10th place. I guess that everyone is destined to have at least one bad meet!!

Meet Tomorrow!

2007 Yurchenko Invitational

November 30 - December 2, 2007

Good Luck Graphics

Tonight was a fun night. I got to practice with team one again. We started on vault. Out of three vaults I stuck two ( I was vaulting on #6). Not too bad. Then we went to bars. I did one low bar and one high bar. Then I did one routine. I did pretty well on that. Next was beam. I didn't even warm up my back walkover back tuck but in my routine I stuck it. Then floor. We just warmed up our tumbling passes and then we were done. Today was a short practice. Afterwards we went to the Chinese buffet. I had a really great time. We laughed and talked a lot. We even saw someone we knew there. If I ever get the chance again, I'm definitely going! What a great time we had...

Fall Frenzy My First Meet - Level 8

Saturday, November 11, 2007 was my first meet in level eight. It was pretty fun considering some of the mess ups I did. All the optionals competed together. Level seven started on bars and levels eight, nine, and ten started on vault. I was third competing. I decided I was going to go for a tsuk pike and I ended up falling on my butt. I went again doing tsuk tuck and my score was an 8.825. Next event was bars. I did pretty good except when I was going down after my cast turn my legs hit the floor, my score on this event was an 8.525. Next was beam, my best event. I stuck my routine and it was really solid. I ended up getting a score of a 9.4. Last event was floor, I did pretty ok but I could of done much better, my score was a 9.175. According to my dad I didn't try my best. My all-around was second place with a score of 35.975. My bars and beam got me second place and my floor and vault got me third.
A cool thing is that Shannon Miller
and Sean Golden visited our gym on the day of our meet. They talked to us and we got some autographs. A cool thing that she did was...she autographed.......
our competition beam
and took a team picture with us. I got a couple pictures of them also. A funny thing also happened when we were waiting for scores. The coaches had a handstand contest, Sergei put in a good effort but he didn't win.

Well, that was my meet!

PIT TIME!!!

Thursday... we had vault, beam, and bars. On vault of course I did tsuk. They were horrible. I don't know why I'm doing so bad on vault, I keep falling on my butt. On beam we did routines, Mrs. Tamara judged me and I got a 9.45 and I didn't fall. On bars we were supposed to do routines but once again I chickened out. I keep stopping...when I get to the high-bar and I won't go for the high-bar. Friday...we had Beam and floor. On beam we did routines once again(this is getting boring... I know... just hold in...) and we just did five this time. On floor we did routines and it was really good, I wasn't tired or anything. Saturday we had vault, floor and bars. This was a little mixed up because Mrs. Tamara had to leave early so we didn't get to do what we usually do. On vault I did tsuks and still kept falling on my butt. Floor I did good and on Bars all everyone did was low-bar the whole hour. That night there was a at the gym, I went to it. We cleaned out the whole pit and added new cubes. There aren't enough cubes so we can't go in the pit. That night we played fun games like chicken in the pen house, , handstand & headstand contests and more. We took some pictures and my friends and I stayed up until like 3:30. But really it was like 4:30 because it was daylight savings time so we had 2:00 AM twice. It was really fun and I had a real great time.
